San Diego’s legal community is coming together once again for the Attorneys Who Care Challenge—a citywide fundraising competition supporting free legal services for asylum seekers, unaccompanied children, and survivors of violence.
This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a challenge. A community effort. A statement of values. Who will rise this year?
ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
The Attorneys Who Care Challenge brings together law firms, solo practitioners, law students, and legal professionals in a friendly competition to support immigrant justice. Participants form teams, set fundraising goals, and compete to raise critical funds for Casa Cornelia Law Center’s free, high-quality legal services.
Along the way, teams build community, engage their networks, and compete for the title of:

OUR MISSION
At Casa Cornelia Law Center, we believe justice should not depend on income, status, or circumstance.
Through compassionate, high-quality pro bono legal representation, we serve:
• Asylum seekers fleeing persecution and violence
• Unaccompanied children navigating immigration court alone
• Survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, and other serious crimes
• Those individuals and families facing urgent immigration-related challenges
Every case represents a person seeking safety, dignity, and due process.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Build Your Team
Form a team with your law firm, colleagues, classmates, or legal network. Each team has a Team Captain who leads outreach and coordination.
2. Set Your Goal
Each team is encouraged to raise $2,500 in support of Casa Cornelia’s mission.
3. Fundraise Together
Teams raise funds through personal outreach, events, and peer-to-peer giving. Every donation counts toward your team total.
4. Compete for Impact
Teams compete for recognition, bragging rights, and the title of San Diego’s Legal Champion of Justice.
TEAM FUNDRAISING GOAL
The campaign is built on collective impact:
- 10 teams
- $2,500 per team goal
- Shared mission: $25,000 total impact
Every team member contributes in a way that works for them—small gifts add up to meaningful change.

Thanks to a generous matching gift, every donation to the campaign is matched dollar-for-dollar—doubling support for Casa Cornelia’s life-changing legal services.
That means your contribution goes twice as far in helping protect vulnerable individuals and families.
