Casa Cornelia Law Center celebrates and extends our deepest gratitude to Dr. Gloria Bader, who is retiring from her role as Chair of the Board of Directors after decades of distinguished service and leadership.
Dr. Bader’s involvement with Casa Cornelia spans more than 25 years, reflecting an extraordinary commitment to advancing the mission and values of the organization and its founders, the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ). In the Law Center’s early years, Gloria worked alongside Sr. Ann Durst, SHCJ, Sr. Mary Wayne Gradon, SHCJ, and others to help shape the foundation of what would become a leading nonprofit law firm dedicated to justice with compassion.
As an experienced educator, former SHCJ member, and founder of The Bader Group, Gloria brought unparalleled expertise in leadership development, strategic planning, and organizational renewal to Casa Cornelia. Her professional work has guided global organizations across sectors—from healthcare to education, from NGOs to Fortune 500 companies—and that same depth of knowledge and insight became a cornerstone of her volunteer service to our mission.
Over the years, Gloria has led Casa Cornelia’s strategic planning and staff development efforts, helping to build a culture grounded in trust, collaboration, and excellence. She has served two board terms, including leadership of the Strategic Planning Committee, Audit Committee, and Investment Committee, and has served as Board Chair with steadfast dedication and grace.
Beyond her official roles, Dr. Bader has been a mentor to Casa Cornelia’s Executive Director and a trusted advisor to staff and board members alike. She has represented the organization before foundations, donors, and partner institutions, always carrying forward the founding values of compassion, service, and justice.
Throughout her years of service, Gloria has embodied the spirit of Casa Cornelia—believing deeply in the dignity of every person and in the power of committed leadership to create lasting change. Her influence will continue to shape the Law Center for years to come, as we build upon the strong foundation she helped nurture.
