Salary: $93,359-$135,795 (DOE) (exempt)

The Firm:
Casa Cornelia Law Center (CCLC) is a public interest law firm providing quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations with a primary commitment to the indigent within the immigrant community in Southern California. Our legal services include representation to those in removal proceedings or seeking affirmative immigration relief including asylum seekers, abused and abandoned children, and immigrant victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other serious crimes who are eligible for immigration status under U.S. law. CCLC provides pro bono representation through its staff and the support of volunteers, such as private attorneys, law students, and interpreters/translators under the mentorship of CCLC attorneys. The firm is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors.
The Position:
Casa Cornelia is seeking a full-time Finance and Administration Director. The Finance and Administration Director plays an essential role in managing the Law Center’s ongoing fiscal and administrative operations and works strategically with the Executive Director and Leadership Team to fulfill our vision of ensuring justice with compassion to those in need. This is a hands-on position requiring successful execution of administrative operational responsibilities as well as collaboration with other members of the Leadership Team on organization-wide activities. Administrative, finance, and other responsibilities are performed directly by the Finance and Administration Director and/or indirectly through supervision of a direct report employee and through contracted accounting and IT services providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with the Executive Director to oversee financial management and controls of the organization.
- Oversee and/or execute all financial operations of the organization including banking, payroll, contracts, and vendor management.
- Prepare the annual budget and program/project budgets as necessary; develop systems for tracking spending.
- Manage and liaison with the organization’s contracted accounting
- Provide staff support to the finance, investment, and audit committees of the Board of
- Manage the organization’s physical plant including physical security and emergency
- Manage and liaison with the organization’s contracted IT support firm; coordinate the organization’s ongoing technology security
- Manage the organization’s procurement, maintenance, and disposable of equipment and
- In conjunction with the Executive Director and the relevant department directors, coordinate the organization’s human resources function and the onboarding/offboarding of
- Lead the organization’s safety, security, and emergency preparedness
- Provide leadership and innovation to the organization’s long-term strategic plan geared toward operational excellence and growth of our
- Supervise the Operations Associate who provides support to the Finance and Administration
- Assume responsibility for other tasks as identified and assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or non-profit management, and 10-years experience in an equivalent Advanced degree a plus but not required.
- Substantial experience in Financial Management, Strategic Planning, Budget Development, Contract Management, Human Resources Management, Office Management, and/or Business
- Knowledge of tax and other compliance implications with non-profit
- Demonstrated ability to lead and organize groups towards common time-bound goals and discuss problems and solutions across the organization.
- Independent and strategically minded and willing to work in a fast-paced community
- Excellent team management skills, open to direction, and commitment to getting the job done.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent accounting skills; knowledge of and understanding of financial reports; working knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management and work
- Commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse
- Ability to delegate responsibilities

Accountability: The employee reports to the Executive Director and meets with the Executive Director for regularly scheduled meetings and/or as needed.
Environment: Work is performed in a professional office setting with a moderate noise level; employee will regularly work at a computer station and operate electronic equipment with occasional travel for off-site responsibilities; employee will regularly communicate by email, telephone, and in- person with staff and other professionals; employee will occasionally lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
